Volunteers Needed! – Aug 12, 13, 14, 2022

The Saskatoon Gun Club is hosting the Saskatchewan Provincial Skeet Championships this weekend (Friday August 12th, Saturday August 13th and Sunday August 14th).  We could use some help with preparing and cleaning up lunch each day and scoring and running the trap shoot.  These hours will count toward your Volunteer Tier pricing rewards for target fees in 2023:

1)Friday August 12th – BBQ Burgers/Smokies, set out plates, condiments etc. clean up after lunch – 11am – 2pm (3 hours) – 2 volunteers need

2) Friday August 12, 2022: Trap scorekeeping, filling machines, cleaning the fields of hulls if necessary. There may be other duties as required. – 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m – 2 volunteers needed

6) Sunday August 14th – Lunch Set out Cold Cuts, Buns, Veggie platter, set out plates, condiments etc. clean up after lunch – 11am – 2pm (3 hours) – 2 volunteers need

7) Sunday August 14th: Trap: scorekeeping, filling machines, cleaning the fields of hulls if necessary. There may be other duties as required. – 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m – 2 volunteers needed

8) Sunday August 14th: Trap: scorekeeping, filling machines, cleaning the fields of hulls if necessary. There may be other duties as required. – 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m – 2 volunteers needed

You may volunteer for more than one spot Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

Scorekeeping review, if needed, will take place Thursday August 11th, 5:30p.m. at the club. Let Andy know if you need a review.

Reminder of current Tier benefits:
Tier 1 – Non-member (currently $12.00 per 25 targets)
Tier 2 – 0-5 hours volunteered ($9.50 per 25 targets)
Tier 3 – 6-10 hours volunteered ($8.50 per 25 targets)
Tier 4 – 11-20+ hours volunteered ($6.00 per 25 targets)

Please be advised that do to the registered A.T.A. Trap shoot and the Provincial Skeet Championships this weekend gun club access for regular members will be limited to only ‘walk around’ sporting clays on Sunday August 14th.

UPCOMING Junior Shoot Night

We will be hosting another Junior Shoot at the Saskatoon Gun Club on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 6pm – 8:30/9pm.

Shells, targets, gun rental will be FREE of charge for all participants under 18 years of age.  Instruction and dinner will also be included however you must register to attend.

Ladies Night – Shoot and Supper #2

With huge success from our first Ladies’ Night this Spring, we’re excited to host a second Ladies’ Night this year.

Date & Time: Wednesday, July 20, 2022 (5:30 pm till 10:30pm) – If you can not make it there by 5:30, don’t worry, we will fit you in for some shooting before supper.

Details: Spend the evening learning, or showcasing, how to shoot clay targets with a shotgun, followed by supper, draws, and socialization.  Don’t worry about getting a sore shoulder/cheek from the kick, we have special guns & shells that are designed to minimize recoil. You will be shooting with experienced supervisors who will ensure the safety of everyone while making this a very exciting and enjoyable evening.

This is a RAIN or Shine Event – shooting will occur as long as it is safe to do so.
